Near the end of February 2023, I received a phone call from a dear friend and former professor of mine from college, Duff Yong.
He called to catch up and to share about his first solo museum exhibition.
I have always appreciated his fun-loving personality and unique sense of style. He has been a true friend and mentor to me many years after graduating and has played an integral role in my creative pursuits.
He told me the only thing missing from his exhibition was music and there was no one else he’d rather have create it than me.
The only catch was, the exhibition was a month away.
This was the wildest creative adventure I’ve ever embarked on in the shortest span of time. It is an incredible honor to form deeper connections through art and find healing in the process.

The ookee exhibition is on display from March 31st - September 4th, 2023 at the Jepson Center for the Arts in Savannah, GA.
